Ipsarion

70% of the total area of the island is covered by the highest mountain peak, Ypsario (1204 meters). The mountain shelter, located at the top can accommodate walkers. When the weather is good and the sky is clear, you can see from the top the coasts of Macedonia, the Dardanelles, Samothrace, Lemnos and Mount Athos. The mountain is overgrown with chestnuts, firs, plane trees, pines, as well as many olive trees at the foot.
